The Scoop
Crafted from English walnut and oak, this scoop began life as a bookmatched slab sourced from a locally felled tree and air-dried for over four years. The design emerged organically during the planing of a 3-inch-thick slab, revealing a striking flamed grain. A natural gap in the walnut was bridged using jointed and pegged oak, adding both character and strength.
The legs are solid 3-inch English oak, featuring burrs and areas of spalting that create visually intriguing, freestanding legs. The top surface showcases natural spalting and distressing, enhanced with a stippled and gouged texture
